Elizabeth King, Ed.D, MSW, LCSW, CHT is a Florida Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and a Certified Clinical Supervisor for Clinical Social Work (CSW), Mental Health Counselors (MHC) and Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT). Dr. King earned her doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Bachelor of Science from Nova Southeastern University and her Master of Social Work from Florida International University. She earned certification in clinical hypnotherapy from the American Board of Clinical and Medical Hypnotherapy. Dr. King has received postgraduate training on chronic pain and pain management. She is currently pursing advanced certification in hypnotic anesthesiology. Dr. King is also an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. King has over 12 years of clinical experience in the private and public sector. She has served as clinical director, and clinical consultant to national, state and local organizations. Dr. King has also provided supervision to professionals in the mental health fields.
Dr. King has dedicated the last 2 years on researching and developing alternative pain management techniques that address the neuro-psychological as well as the physical aspects of pain. Dr. King has developed a non-pharmacological pain management protocol, which combines psychotherapy with clinical hypnotherapy.
Dr. King is co-founder of Neuro-Fusion Institute and co-developed a breakthrough bio-psychological approach to pain management called Neuro-Fusion Technique™.
Dr. King is recognized as a dynamic speaker and presenter and is considered to be an expert in her field. She has written and delivered compelling presentations on many aspects of her areas of expertise on topics such as pain management, stress management, brain science, trauma, infant mental health, effective parenting, adolescent issues and understanding cultural diversity in the clinical practice.
Dr. King is scheduled to publish a book on alternative solutions for dealing with pain in 2008.
