Our employment placement efforts begin when a participants contract coach arranges for him to meet with our Job Developer. Since we have developed numerous relationships with organizations that are willing to hire formerly incarcerated individuals, we are now able to guarantee at least one job interview for nearly every participant in the program (some participants on work release have schedules so restricted by their facility that they are unable to work the hours required by the jobs we can secure.)
Additionally, since all of our employment partners are willing to hire formerly incarcerated individuals, our participants do not experience the despair of seeing employers wince after hearing of a criminal record. Instead they go to interviews with the knowledge that the job is theirs for the taking.
